Report on illegal possession of firearm
On November 30, 2008 (Sunday) at 9:30 in the morning at Purok Thomas Claudio, Barangay Maguinda, Butuan City, elements of Philippine Army MICO led by PFC Danilo Castociano apprehended the suspect identified as Felix Toyco, 23 years old, single and resident of Purok-2, Barangay Maguinda, Butuan City after caught in his possession the one unit cal rev (paltik) loaded with five live ammos. Suspect was turned over to Butuan City Police Station 4. A case for illegal possession of firearms was already filed at City Prosecutors Office for proper disposition.
Arrest of illegal discharge of firearm suspect
On November 30, 2008 (Sunday) at 9:00 in the morning at Royo Corner Palapuz St, Purok 2, Barangay Consuelo, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, a suspect identified as Geofrey Del Rosario, of legal age, married and resident of Port Area, Barangay Consuelo, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, allegedly fired once his cal .45 pistol.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the suspect under the influenced of liquor arrived at said place, allegedly pointed his gun to a certain Jushua Gabunada, 20 years old, married, employee of Norsophhil Metal Resources Incorporated with permanent address at Bulacao, Talisay City, Cebu.
Suspect then fired his cal .45 pistol to the air. PNP elements of Cantilan Municipal Police Station responded the incident and recovered one spent shell of cal .45 at the scene. Appropriate charges now prepared for filing in court against the suspect. Progress report to follow.
Arrest of illegal gambling suspect
On November 28, 2008 (Friday) at 8:25 in the evening, elements of Butuan City Police Station-1 led by PINSP Ronaldo Plaza conducted operation against illegal gambling which resulted to the apprehension of a certain Rey Orgonio (alleged coordinator), 35 years old, married and a resident of Lopez Jaena Extension, Barangay Tandang Sora, Butuan City.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were ten pieces filled-up “suertres” tally sheets; one piece calculator; one stapler; two pieces ballpen and P1,005.25 bet money in different denomination. Subject person is now at the custody of Butuan City Police Station-1 for proper disposition.
Apprehension of wanted persons
On November 27, 2008 (Thursday) at 10:00 in the morning at Barangay Alegria, Santa Monica, Surigao del Norte, a certain Marlito Millana, 30 years old and a resident of said place was arrested by elements of Santa Monica Municipal Police Station led by SPO1 Ermerito Conjurado by virtue of warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Judge Evangeline Yuipco, Presiding Judge, RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 31, Dapa, Surigao del Norte docketed under criminal case number 110-08 for the crime of Frustrated Homicide with recommended bailbond of P24,000.00.
Subject person was turned-over to the issuing court for proper disposition.
At around 2:00 in the afternoon of the same date at Barangay 2, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, elements of Trento Municipal Police Station led by PO2 Arnold Tucong arrested the suspect identified as alias Meyo, 43 years old, married and a resident of Purok 10, Divisoria, Barangay Langkilaan, Trento, Agusan del Sur by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Dante Luz Viacrusis, Presiding Judge, RTC 10th Judicial Region Branch 6, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, docketed under criminal case number 6589 for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7610 with recommended bailbond of P16,000.00 for his temporary liberty.
Subject person is now detained at Trento Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
At 10:45 in the evening at Purok 2, Santa Cruz, San Jose, Dinagat Islands, elements of San Jose Municipal Police Station led by PINSP Dionelle Edep Brannon, COP arrested one Dexter Masigal, 26 years old, single, employee of Green Bank and a resident of abovementioned place by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Evangeline Yuipco Bayana, Presiding Judge, RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 32, Surigao City dated July 12, 2007 docketed under criminal case number 1077 for violation of RA 9262 with recommended bailbond of P24, 000.00.
Subject person is now detained at San Jose Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, on November 28, 2008 (Friday) at 10:30 in the morning at Purok 5, Barangay Canlanipa and Magallanes Street, Barangay Washington, all of Surigao City, elements of Surigao City Police Station led by SPO1 Johnson Juanite arrested one Joselito Abis Jr. aka “Kidong”, 35 years old, driver and a resident of Purok 5, Canlanipa, Surigao City and one Sandra Dalan, 20 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Loreto Surigao del Norte by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Victor Canoy, Presiding Judge, RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Surigao City docketed under criminal case number 8105 for the crime of robbery with recommended bailbond of P24,000.00.
Suspects were brought to the issuing court for proper disposition.
