Report on vehicular accident
On September 27, 2009 around 7:30 in the morning at the national highway infront of Carmen National High School, Carmen Agusan del Norte, a ten wheeler Mitshubishi truck with plate number USU-546 while traveling along the national highway heading towards Cagayan de Oro City accidentally hit a "trisikad" with body number 167 driven by Alfrdeo C Agabon, 58 years old with his wife Rosario M Agabon, 52 years old.
The incident injured the couple seriously which were immediately brought to Agusan Norte Provincial Hospital at Libertad, Butuan City for medical treatment while the ten wheeler truck driver identified as Michael Capapas Tura, 23 years old, single and a resident of Dovogan, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental voluntarily surrendered to Carmen Municipal Police Station and appropriate charges were already prepared for filling in court against Michael Tura. PNP arrests wanted person
On September 27, 2009 around 8:30 in the morning at Purok-6 Barangay Alubihid, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, elements of Buenavista Municipal Police Station arrested Elma Abis Perater, 43 years old, married and a resident of the above-mentioned place by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case number 13355 for Estafa issued by Hon Judge Augustus Calo of RTC branch 33, 1Oth Judicial Region, Libertad, Butuan City dated September 17, 2009 with recommended bail bond of Php 22,OOO.OO. Elma Perater was brought to Buenavista Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
At around 12:00 noon of the same date at Purok-3 Casiklan, Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte, personnel of Las Nieves Municipal Police Station led by PSI Welson M Dela Fuerta arrested Alejandro Malisa Abao, 32 years old, single and a resident of Purok-1 Barangay Durian, Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte by virtue of warrant of arrest (WOA) for frustrated murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 13626 issued by Hon Judge Emmanuel Escatron of RTC branch 2, 1Oth Judicial Region dated Sept 15, 2009 with a recommended bail bond of Php 2OO,OOO.OO.
Subject person was brought to Las Nieves Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Also, on October 2, 2009 at 3:40 in the afternoon at Barangay Ata-atahon, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte PNP members of Nasipit Municipal Police Station apprehended Charlito Salazar and Danilo Calo, both 35 years old and residents of Barangay Ata-atahon, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.
The arrest was made by virtue of WOA for oral defamation, docketed under CC no. 9612 and CC no. 9613 issued by Hon Judge Carlos Cambray of 10th MCTC, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte dated September 14, 2009 with recommended bailbond amounting to Php 2,000.00.
Arrested person is now detained at Nasipit Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (PNP-13/ PIA-Caraga)
Confiscation of illegal logs
On September 25, 2009 around 4:00 in the afternoon, personnel of Bayabas Municipal Police Station led by PInsp Abersalon R Rivera, OIC while patrolling along the farm to market road of Barangay Cagbaoto, Bayabas, Surigao del Sur were able to recover 52 pieces round logs locally known as "ATIPO" with 6 feet length each abandoned at the above-mentioned place. Said logs were turned-over to CENRO based at Barangay Aras-asan, Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.
On September 26, 2009 around 10:33 in the evening, personnel from Cantilan Municipal Police Station led by PSI Gregie Pimentel, COP together with PO3 Dante S Donasco and PO3 Felisesimo Arreza apprehended a white Forward truck marked with AJ bearing plate no. GNX-621 driven by Arnel C Day leaded with 7OO boardfeet of "Duyok-duyok" lumber in different sizes at Purok-2, Barangay Consuelo, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.
Initial investigation conducted to the driver revealed that said lumbers have no permit and allegedly will be used for the construction of Consuelo Cooperative. Said truck together with the confiscated lumbers now temporarily impounded at Cantilan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and will be turned-over to DENR.
Also, on September 27, 2009 around 9:OO o'clock in the morning particularly in Barangay San Isidro, Tubod, Surigao del Norte, elements of Tubod Municipal Police Station led by PO3 Virgilio Mosca recovered assorted sizes of sawn lumber with approximate volume of 3OO board feet and estimated market value of Php 6,6OO.OO. Recovered lumber were turned-over to PENRO, Surigao del Norte for proper disposition. (PNP-13/ PIA-Caraga)
Initial report on ambush
On October 3, 2009 at 11:40 in the morning particularly at road 41, Barangay San Ignacio, Trento, Agusan del Sur, elements of Alpha Company, 36 IB Phil Army were ambushed by more or less 30 fully armed CTs allegedly belonging to FC 20 led by unknown leader.
Wounded in action were PFC Bading, PFC Annie, PFC Gamuyot and Pvt Mabanto. Wounded soldiers were brought to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. Progress report to follow. (PNP-13/ PIA-Caraga)

Report on shooting incident
One Raul Del Rosario, 35 years old, married, fisherman and resident of Barangay Antipolo, Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte was shot by suspect Felicito Juntilo, 68 years old, married, farmer and resident of said place on October 2, 2009 at 3:00 in the morning at Sitio Pangi of Barangay Antipolo.
Victim sustained lone gunshot wound on his head resulting to his instantaneous death. PNP elements of Del Carmen Municipal Police Station conducted hot pursuit operation to the fleeing suspect resulting to his arrest.
Confiscated from suspect's possession one cal .22 rifle loaded with one live ammo. Case now prepared for filing in court against the suspect. (PNP-13/ PIA-Caraga)
Report on striking incident
On October 2, 2009 at 3:45 in the morning at Barangay Calamba, Cabadbaran City, a certain Romy Coguit, 28 years old was killed by his brother Efren Coguit, 32 years old.
Initial investigation conducted revealed that the victim was struck with a stone hitting his head which resulted to his instantaneous death. Suspect voluntarily surrendered to the responding PNP elements of Cabadbaran Police Station and brought to the station for filing appropriate charges in court. (PNP-13/ PIA-Caraga)
