BUTUAN CITY (15 January) – Gilusad ang turn-over sa Transformation Caravan Torch ug pagtunol sa mga bag-ong patrol cars ug uban pang mga ekipo nga magamit sa operasyon sa kapulisan ubos sa temang: “Transformation Caravan: Pushing Forward the Genuine PNP Transformation” ang gipangunahan ni Police Director General Jesus Verzosa niadtong Huwebes (Enero 14) didto sa Police Regional Office-PRO 13, Camp Rafael, Rodriguez, Libertad, ni’ng syudad.
Mismong si Caraga Regional Director-Police Chief Supt. Lino de Guzman Calingasan ang midawat sa Transformation Torch gikan sa Cagayan Regional Director PCSUPT Danilo Empedrad.
Alas 5:30 ang takna sa kaadlawon gisugdan ang Torch run gikan sa 10- kilometer, 5-km, 3-km, and 1-km nga nagsugod didto sa South Montilla Boulevard, atubangan sa ANECO sub-station ug moaabot sa Camp Rafael Rodriguez, Libertad, ni’ng syudad.
Sa maong kalihukan, didto usab ang sektor gikan sa lokal nga kagamhanan sa dakbayan sa Butuan, Bureau of Fire Protection-BFP, empleyado sa Department of Public Works and Highways-DPWH, mga ka-estudyantehan, ug mga opisyales sa Philippine National Police lukop probinsya ni’ng rehiyon.

SURIGAO DEL NORTE (15 January) – Sa makausa pa, makadawat na usab ug laing tabang ang probinsya gikan sa mga kadagkuan sa Ayala Foundation pinaagi sa GILAS kun Gearing-up Internet Literacy and Access for Students Project.
Ang maong programa nga gipaluyuhan usab sa kasamtangang panggamhanan sa probinsya, nga mo counterpart sa maong proyekto, mohatag sa ubay-ubay nga mga computer units ug servers sa pipila nato ka mga secondary schools dinhi sa probinsya aron masayran sa mga kabatan-onan sa mga hilit nga mga tulungha-an, ang mga bag-o ug hi-tech nga mga teknolohiya ug aron nga sila makakaplag usab ug daghang impormasyon gamit ang mga computer nga duna na’y internet connection.
Sa nasayran, daghan na nga mga secondary schools dinhi sa probinsya ang nakabenepisyo niining maong proyekto. Karong tuiga, midugang na usab ang GILAS Project ug mga recipients schools nga ila na usab taga-an ug mga computers. Ang 18 ka mga tulungha-an nga modawat na usab sa 10 ka computers ug 10 usab ka servers mao ang mga mosunod:

Report on shooting incident
On January 13, 2010 at 10:30 in the evening at Kilometer 22, Sitio Diego Silang, Sta Maria, Trento, Agusan del Sur, one Romeo Pasi, also known as Datu Silang, 50 years old, married, farmer and resident of Sitio Diego Silang, Brgy Sta Maria, Trento, Agusan del Sur was shot to death by three unidentified men using cal .45 pistol.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim together with his wife while on their way home, suspects who were hiding in the dark portion of the road shot the victim hitting him on the head. PNP elements of Trento Municipal Police Station proceeded to the area and recovered six spent shells and one slug of cal .45.
PNP elements of Trento Municipal Police Station is now conducting in depth investigation for the identity and apprehension of the suspects. (PNP-13/ PIA-Caraga)
Progress report on robbery incident
A Case for robbery against the two suspects identified as Marvin Tatoy, 24 years old, married and Nilo AcuΓ±a, 28 years old, married, both resident of Purok-3 Brgy San Pedro, Surigao City was already filed at Surigao City Prosecutor's Office docketed under NPS No. XIII-05-INV-10A-00012.
The two accused tagged as the responsible person of robbery incident that transpired on January 12, 2010 at around 2:00 in the afternoon at Brgy. San Pedro, Surigao City victimizing a certain Angeline Mendez, a public school teacher and a resident of said place. The two suspects are still at large as of this report. (PNP-13/ PIA-Caraga)

On January 12, 2010 around 4:00 in the afternoon, PNP personnel from Bayugan City Police Station led by PO3 Julieto Ano proceeded to Purok-23 West Poblacion, Bayugan City and apprehended a certain Akita E Urita, 71 years old and a resident of the same place.
Urita was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Judge Hector Salise, Presiding Judge of RTC 13TH Judicial Region Branch 7, Bayugan City, Agusan del Norte docketed under Criminal Case no. 3092 for child abuse dated December 29, 2009 with bail bond recommended amounting to Php 8O,OOO.OO Said is person now detained at Bayugan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Also, on January 12, 2010 around 7:35 in the evening, PNP personnel from Bayugan City Police Station led by SPO4 Gilbert Lumacad proceeded to Purok-23 West Poblacion, Bayugan City and arrested Ellen Justin M Pasagdan, 18 years old, single and a resident of the same place.
The arrest was made by virtue of WOA issued by Judge Hector Salise Presiding Judge of RTC 13TH Judicial Region Branch 7, Bayugan City, Agusan del Norte docketed under Criminal Case no. 2940 for robbery with force upon things dated August 1O, 2009 with bail bond recommended to Php 24,OOO.OO.
