90% police personnel deployed for the opening of classes tomorrow in Butuan

BUTUAN CITY, June 5 (PIA) – To ensure a peaceful opening of classes tomorrow (June 6), 90 percent of the total police officers were already deployed in different elementary and high schools – both private and public.
In an interview with a local radio station here this morning, Col. Joseph Boquiren, Deputy Chief of Operations of the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) said the deployment of police officers to public and private schools especially in the downtown areas are already in place through the directive of PSupt Jose Carillo, BCPO chief.
Boquiren further said police visibility is enforced especially in downtown areas and streets where more people are expected to converge. “Particularly, police officers will be deployed in streets of A. D. Curato, Durano and J. C. Aquino where big schools are situated,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a text message sent to PIA-Caraga, Col. Boquiren also said personnel of BCPO will be giving school supplies to pupils and will likewise conduct a mass feeding in Maug Elementary School and San Roque Elementary School here.
Dubbed as “Adopt a School Project,” this is an annual activity of BCPO since 2009 through the initiatives of Col. Boquiren which is now being cascaded by all police stations in the city.
This noble project of BCPO supports the national program of the Aquino Administration in its effort to help the parents in purchasing school supplies for their kids as school year 2011-2012 is about to start tomorrow, June 6. (PIA-Caraga)

BUTUAN CITY, June 5 (PIA) – As school year 2011-2012 is set to open tomorrow nationwide, Butuan City Mayor Ferdinand Amante, Jr. enjoined stakeholders to take part to ensure that the opening of classes will be made smoothly, said City Councilor Erwin Dano
Councilor Dano said the chief executive of the city has already instructed the police officers and likewise coordinated with members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) through the Philippine Army to ensure that schoolchildren as well as their parents and school personnel are secured.
Dano further said although the city is peaceful but it is better to be prepared at all times so that everything will be put in place especially during tomorrow’s event where majority of the people are involved in it.
“All stakeholders – public and private alike are enjoined to do their responsibilities to pave the way for the school kids and high school students not to be absent not only during the first week of classes but during the duration of the school year and beyond. In this way, the zero dropout aimed by the Department of Education (DepEd) will be achieved,” Dano said.

Gipahigayon usab sa buhatan sa Civil Registrar ang ilang libreng serbisyo kabahin sa pagparehisto sa late registration ingon man ang rehistro sa kasal ug uban pa.
Padayon usab ang City Social Welfare and Development sa pagpang-apud-apod sa mga Philhealth Card nga mukabat sa 200 ka mga recipients ang nakadawat sa Brgy. Anticala diin gikalipay sa mga katawhan kay matud pa, dako kini ug ikatabang ug kaabag kung adunay masakit sa pamilya.
Ang buhatan usab sa CENRO padayon sa guihapon sa pagpananom alayon sa gilusad nga Grow a 1 Million Tree Project ubos sa pagpanguna mismo ni Mayor Ferdinand Amante, Jr. ni’ng dakbayan.
Samtang ang City Health Office (CHO) nagbansay-bansay sa mga nagkadaiyang sakit nga mikuyanap nga posible’ng masinatian sa katawhan sa dakbayan.

Mismong si Mayor Ferdinand Amante ang mitunol sa maong mga benepisyo sa gipahigayong culmination program sa Agusan National High School (ANHS) covered court pinaagi sa buhatan sa Department of the Interior and Local Government kon DILG.
Sa maong programa, gipasabot ni Mayor Ferdinand M. Amante, Jr. ang mga responsibilidad sa mga brgy. tanod isip gitugyanan sa pagbantay og pag-mintina sa kahapsay ug kalinaw sa matag barangay.
