Blessing & inauguration of New DILG-Agusan
del Norte Prov’l Office conducted

BUTUAN CITY, Sept 17 (PIA) -- The ribbon-cutting
ceremony for the new Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)
Agusan del Norte Provincial Office Building was held on Monday at the Capitol
Compound, this city.
DILG Agusan del Norte Provincial Dir. Romeo
Solis, together with DILG-Caraga Regional Dir. Lilibeth Famacion, Agusan del
Norte Vice Gov. Enrico Corvera and Provincial Administrator Percianita Racho
led the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new DILG provincial office situated
beside its old building.
Rev. Fr. Stephen Broncano led the blessing of the
new building, witnessed by other employees of government agencies and media
personalities.
Solis expressed his thanks and gratitude to the
provincial government for their efforts in sponsoring the funds for the
construction of the new building of DILG Agusan del Norte provincial office.
“I’d like to express my big thanks and
appreciation to Gov. Erlpe John Amante for approving the budget intended for
the construction of this building and to the series of follow-ups made by our
provincial administrator to really finish the construction as early as
September instead of October as targeted by engr. George Tan,” said Solis.
Meanwhile, Corvera, representing Amante,
expressed his happiness for employees of the DILG-Agusan del Norte will now
have a more comfortable office at the newly constructed building inside the
provincial capitol compound.
“I am very happy to see that workers of the
provincial government are working hand in hand to address the constituents'
issues & concerns. I am hoping that we will continue to have a harmonious
relationship among other offices of the government,” said Corvera.
Solis assured that he and his working staff will

pagsuporta ang alkalde ng lungsod ng Butuan sa programang Science and Technology
para sa responsabling pagmimina sa Mindanao kung saan ay pormal na binuksan
kamakailan sa pamamagitan ng mga inisyatibo ng state universities and colleges
sa Mindanao.
Sa kanyang talumpati sa harap ng mga
partisipante galing sa pampubliko at pribadong sector, sinabi ni Mayor
Ferdinand Amante, Jr. na ang solusyon upang magtagal ang kagandahan ng
kapaligikan ay kailangan manggagaling sa bawat isa.
“Ang administrasyong ito ay patuloy sa
pakikipaglaban para mapanatili at maproteksyonan ang kapaligiran kung saan
maraming tao ang naninirahan sa mabababang lugar na siyang direktang
naaapektohan ng pagbaha dahil sa mga iligal na pagmimina sa mga matataas na
lugar,” ani Amante.
Idinagdag din ni Amante na ang pamahalaan ay
patuloy sa paghahanap ng mga paraan upang mabigyan ng alternatibong
pangkabuhayan ang mga tao na ang ikinabubuhay ay ang iligal na pagmimina.
“Bagaman kami ay nagpapatuloy sa pag-implementa
ng anti-illegal mining laws, kami din ay nagpapatuloy sa pagbibigay ng mga
alternatibong pangkabuhayan para sa mga taong nawalan ng hanap buhay dahil sa
pagpapatigil ng mga iligal na pagmimina,” ani Amante.
Ang pagbubukas ng programang S&T para sa
responsabling pagmimina sa Mindanao ay dinaluhan ng ibat ibang agensya ng
gobyerno, local na pamahalaan, mga pinuno ng SUCs na siya ding partisipante sa
