DAR-Surigao Norte to distribute land titles in
Mainit

SURIGAO CITY, Feb. 20 (PIA) -- The Department of
Agrarian Reform (DAR) Surigao del Norte is set to distribute Certificates of
Landownership Award (CLOA) to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in the
municipality of Mainit on Wednesday, February 27 at 9:30 a.m., at the covered
court of Brgy. Tagbuyawan, Mainit, Surigao del Norte.
The said distribution covers 131 certificate of
landownership award comprising 194.6665 hectares (ha) of land benefiting 126
ARBs. Of the 131 CLOAs, 65 will be awarded to Barangay Tagbuyawan covering an
area of 122.8662 ha, 46 for Brgy. Mansayao with 55.5887 hectares and 20 for
Brgy. Tolingon with 16.2116 hectares, all in Mainit.
The distribution of land ownership certificate
award is in line with the DAR’s mission and vision to lead in the
implementation of the agrarian reform and rural development through land tenure
improvement and the provision of integrated development service to landless
farmers and small landowners-cultivators.
And the delivery of agrarian justice towards
rural development and peace, and to become a nation where there is equitable
land ownership with empowered agrarian reform beneficiaries who are effectively
managing their economic and social development for a better quality of life.
