TANDAG CITY, May 25 (PIA) – As the weeklong
Brigada Eskwela is coming to a close, the Philippine National Police (PNP) in
Surigao del Sur has already shifted to gearing up for the opening of classes on
June 2.
Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Provincial Director
P/SSupt. Narciso Verdadero said that a directive has already been issued to all
police stations in provincewide pursuant to Command Memorandum Circular (CMC)
No. 41 series of 2014.
Such CMC coming from the Police Regional Office
13 (PRO 13) “sets forth the guidelines and procedures to be undertaken by
tasked PNP offices/units to ensure the maintenance of peace and order relative
to the opening of classes for the school year 2014-2015,” he cited.
However, until now, scores of PNP members were
said to have been engrossed with their participation in the Brigada Eskwela.
Brigada Eskwela is an annual undertaking
designed to prepare all public elementary and secondary schools for the opening
of classes with the help and support of all stakeholders in the concerned
community including the PNP. (NGBT/Rdyo ng Bayan/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
