The said activity was aimed to enhance the knowledge of each participant on DRRM and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA).

“This orientation seeks to widen and enhance the knowledge of the participants on the DRRM and CCA concepts,” PDRRMO chief Abel de Guzman said.

De Guzman said the activity was divided into two batches with participants from the Northern-tip municipality of Carrascal up to the Southern-tip municipality of Lingig to meet the required minimum health protocol. They are targeting 55 participants per session.

For the day-1, the participants are the newly-hired local DRRM office staff, while on the day-2, it will be participated by the volunteers and partners.

The activity was previously scheduled last June, but due to the declaration of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) in the entire province, it was postponed to a later date. (PIA-Surigao del Sur)
