BUTUAN CITY – Among the developmental projects that would soon be established in the municipality of La Paz in the province of Agusan del Sur include the potable water system.
“Water source has been a perennial problem in La Paz. To address this, we have an ongoing P14-million potable water project funded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG),” said Lim.
Mayor Lim also added that the LGU is also upgrading the water system which costs P4 million, which is expected to be finished by next month.
“We also hired a consultant from Davao who is studying our water system and we have filed a loan to settle this problem. We're eyeing five barangays to have potable water level 3 and these are barangays OsmeΓ±a, Poblacion, Villa Paz, Sagunto, Panagangan. The drilling will start next month and then we'll test the quality of our water system, and our source is a deep well,” said Lim.
These developments were highlighted by Mayor Lim during the Network Briefing News on Wednesday hosted by Secretary Marin Andanar of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO). (JPG/PIA-Caraga)
