The provision of
Modified Fish Aggregating Devices Project was made possible thru the initiative
of the local government unit of Carrascal (LGU-Carrascal) in partnership with
CTP Construction and Mining Corporation who funded the project thru its Social
Development and Management Program (SDMP) 2021, with the Municipal Agriculture
Office on technical assistance.
The project is part
of the LGU's efforts in helping the marginalized sectors gain access to
sustainable livelihood undertakings where they can earn enough income for their
respective households.
Each organization
received 10 units of FADs which will be installed/deployed in strategically
located fishing grounds identified by the organization.
The beneficiaries
from the two coastal barangays will be using the deployed 'payaos' in their
respective locations and are expected to benefit from the project.
