Armed drug dealer snared during Surigao Norte town drug bust
BUTUAN CITY -- Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Caraga, Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office - Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (SDN PPO-PDEU), Bacuag Municipal Police Station, and Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Mobile Force Company (SDN PMFC) 2nd Company successfully apprehended a drug dealer in Bacuag, Surigao del Norte in the afternoon of February 16, 2022 during the conduct of a buy-bust operation.
The arrested suspect was identified as Jovenile Adlao Arguilles, 48 years old, married, and a resident of Socorro in said province was armed with a caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven live ammunition when caught in the act of selling shabu to the undercover agent.
The buy-bust item seized and another sachet of shabu recovered in the possession of the suspect has an estimated aggregate amount of Php37,000. The operatives also confiscated a weighing scale, aluminum foil, and a pair of scissors which indicated that the latter was not only repacking shabu but might also be using. The buy-bust money was also found in his possession.
Cases for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” as amended and RA 10591 were already filed before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor of Surigao del Norte. (PDEA-Caraga/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
