36 entrepreneurs in PDI town receive cash assistance from DTI
SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Dinagat Islands, through the Negosyo Center in Cagdianao town together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has released the cash assistance amounting to Php540,000 under the Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG) Program to 36 Pangkabuhayan Para sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries, who were mostly lobster growers, received Php15,000 each.
Held at Brgy. Tigbao, Cagdianao, the activity was attended by DTI Provincial Director Elmer Natad, Senior Trade and Industry Specialist Saira Shade Yaco, SLP Provincial Coordinator Antonio Semporios, Jr., Livelihood and Grievance focal person Charmine Verano, MSWDO Designate Juliet Longos, and barangay chairperson Fernando Eguna.
The DTI-PPG Program is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program that aims to assist individuals and families affected by fire incidents, health pandemics, and other calamities. The DSWD-LAG and DTI-PPG is a convergence program wherein the former provides the fund while the latter conducts entrepreneurial seminars and identifies the beneficiaries.
