Over 60% now fully vaccinated in Surigao Norte
BUTUAN CITY -- Over 60% of the target population for COVID-19 vaccination in the province of Surigao del Norte are now fully vaccinated, per the Department of Health (DOH)-Caraga’s report on March 13, 2022.
Of the 437,439 individuals included in the master list of citizens in
the province eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccines, a total of 266,713 have
completed their vaccination. This equates to 60.97% of the 80% target
population in Surigao del Norte.
Among the provinces with the highest number of fully vaccinated
population, the province ranked 4th, falling behind the provinces of
Surigao del Sur (68.48%), Agusan del Norte (64.99%), and Agusan del Sur
(64.34%). The Province of Dinagat Islands, having the lowest number of target
individuals, came in last, recording 53.99% only.
Meanwhile, among the six cities in the region, Surigao City, the
province’s capital, ranked 6th, recording 60.04% or 83,457 fully
vaccinated residents out of the 138,997 individuals included in their vaccine
