PRRD to visit Butuan City; join members of NTF/RTF-ELCAC

BUTUAN
CITY -- President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is scheduled to visit this city on
Tuesday, April 12, to join the members of the National Task Force and Regional
Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-RTF ELCAC) in a meeting
to be held at Almont Hotel’s Inland Resort.
During
this event, the joint task forces will present the highlights and responses of
the ELCAC project beneficiaries in Caraga Region.
Butuan
City Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada will deliver his welcome message during the
visit of PRRD while Secretary Hermogenes Esperon, national security adviser
(NSA) and vice chairperson of the NTF-ELCAC, is also expected to deliver his
message.
Some
600 individuals from different government agencies involved, local government
units, NTF-RTF ELCAC members, media, and other guests will be attending the
said activity. All were required to undergo RT-PCR test and present its
negative result along with the copy of their vaccination card. Antigen test is
also required, which will be administered during the event.
As
one of the highlights, PRRD will join the member-agencies as they hand over
their programs and services to their respective beneficiaries. This included
the former rebels (FRs), indigenous peoples (IPs), and local farmers, among
others.
It
has been emphasized by the organizers and working committees that strict health
protocols will be implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease-2019
