LGU-Prosperidad undergoes 2022 SGLG assessment

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The local government of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur has been complying with the requirements for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga.

The SGLG Regional Assessment team headed by Marilou Salado, LGOO VI with Michael Bitanghol, Civil Society Organization (CSO) representative, and Milariza Beniga, MLGOO assessed the LGU-Prosperidad to make sure that the required indicators are followed.

The municipality, headed by Mayor Eric Plaza Mellana, wants to keep the winning streak in the SGLG.

During the exit conference, the team received a positive commendation from the assessors, which means it gives the LGU hope to bag another SGLG award.

To do that, LGU-Prosperidad must receive a passing remark in all following areas such as financial administration and sustainability; disaster preparedness; health compliance and responsiveness; sustainable education; business-friendliness and competitiveness; safety, peace and order; environmental management; youth development; tourism, heritage development, culture and the arts; and social protection and sensitivity.

SGLG is the highest recognition given by the DILG to an LGU that has shown good governance and effective delivery in the mentioned areas and is practicing good management principles, including transparency, accountability and responsiveness. (Team Prosperidad/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
