"We would like to extend our gratitude to our peace-loving communities for
the strong support in our campaign to end the local insurgency in the province.
With active support and participation of the community, the total collapse of
the CTG is already imminent. These CTGs have been disturbing the lives of the
populace who wish to live peacefully. That is why we encourage everyone to
support the government for us to attain inclusive peace and development in the
area, “ said Brigadier General George Banzon of the 901st Infantry Brigade,
which oversees Placer as part of its area of responsibility (AOR).
BGen Banzon also reiterated his call to the remaining members of the CTGs to
abandon the armed struggle and stop wasting their lives on an ideology that
could kill them one day. (901st Infantry Brigade, PA/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
