GSIS-Surigao orients file handlers on updated EBCS
BUTUAN CITY -- The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Surigao City Branch recently administered a two-day Electronic Remittance File (ERF) Handlers and Disbursing Officers’ Meeting on April 27-28, attended by 142 participants from the various government agencies in the provinces of Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur.
Sixty-seven out of the 142 participants showed up on the first day of the
two-day event at the face-to-face assembly held at the Philippine Gateway
Hotel, Surigao City. The said set up was made possible to cater agencies that
have on-going unresolved internet connection issues caused by the Super Typhoon
Odette. Meanwhile, the remaining 75 participants attended the second day of the
meeting via Zoom platform.
The conference was spearheaded by the Billing,
Collection and Reconciliation Division (BCRD) officers. Theresa Ferrer, BCRD chief,
warmly welcomed the members.
Throughout the event, the new features and updates on the enhanced E-Billing
and Collection System (EBCS) were extensively discussed by the unit’s team
leader, Ellen Esguerra. Diverse sample scenarios were also handed by Staff
Officer Melchora Agra to give the participants an overview in handling
situations relating to EBCS. (GSIS-Surigao City/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
