Gun-for-hire member, suspect for murder collared by Surigao Norte police
BUTUAN CITY -- A member of gun-for-hire operating in the province of Surigao del Norte and one of the suspects in a fatal shooting incident in Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte that killed two persons on July 15, 2008, was arrested during a law enforcement operation at Purok 3, Brgy. Ipil, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte on Wednesday, May 11.
Police Brigadier General Romeo M. Caramat, Jr., Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 director, identified the arrested person as Antonio E. Andrade, 60 years old, a resident of P-3, Brgy. Tapian, Mainit, Surigao del Norte.
The operation stemmed from the warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 30, Surigao City, dated January 17, 2011, for murder under Criminal Case No. 8967, with no bail bond recommended.
Andrade is Gigaquit police's most wanted person.
