CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - The Bisaya Gyud Party-list 108 on Monday joined the Muslim community in celebrating Eid Al-Fitr to mark the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
BG Partylist 108 first nominee Alelee Aguilar-Andanar expressed optimism that the FIlipino public will draw inspiration from the Muslim community for their unwavering faith, and strength to move forward regardless of challenges.
“Sa pagtatapos ng Ramadan, kasama niyo ang BG Partylist sa pagpapasalamat sa mga biyaya at lakas na ibinigay sa inyo ni Allah lalo na sa inyong isang buwang pag-aayuno,” she said.
“Umaasa ako na ang okasyong ito ay magbibigay sa inyo ng panibagong simula at sigla sa pagharap sa ating bukas. Nawa’y maging inspirasyon pa kayo upang maging modelo hindi lamang sa pananampalatayang Islam, kundi sa sangkatauhan,” she added.
Filipino Muslim in the country gathered on May 2 to express their devotion to Allah, offer their prayers, and feast with their family and relatives. Consequently, the Palace has declared May 3 as a regular holiday in accordance with the religion’s celebration.
Second nominee Atty. Mico Clavano also greeted the Muslim community and said that the celebration is an opportune time to express gratitude to the blessings given to them by Allah.
“Marami mang hamon tayong hinarap, isa-isa natin silang nalampasan dahil sa ating pagkakaisa at pananampalataya. Magsilbi sana tayong ehemplo ng tibay ng pananampalataya at pagiging maka-tao,” he said.
