Army Reserve Force undergoes Basic Fire Fighting Training
BUTUAN CITY - Some forty personnel coming from the Headquarters, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie Companies of 1501st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn) undergone the Basic Fire Fighting Training facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Butuan City Station on 11 June 2022 at the Headquarters 1501st Community Defense Center (CDC), 15th Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), Camp Romualdo Rubi, Bancasi, this city.
The
said training aimed to give the participants the necessary skills and knowledge
that will enable them to identify the conditions capable of causing fire; know
how to utilize a fire extinguisher; respond appropriately to fire emergencies
and follow the fire evacuation plan/protocol; and adequately implement fire
emergency procedures.
"This
training is in line with the Reserve Force mission of assisting the Local
Government Units during calamities and disasters," said Major Frances
Belarmino, director of 1501st CDC.
Belarmino
added that the training was also conducted to enhance the inter- operability
operations between the Reserve Force and the BFP.
The
one-day activity ended at around 3:00 p.m. with the participating reservists
who are now equipped with the right knowledge on basic firefighting and now
serve as a force multiplier of the Bureau. (1501CDC, 15RCDG)
