CENRO-Bislig joins the nationwide simultaneous tree planting 

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- In line with the celebration of the 2022 Philippine Environment Month, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Community Environment and Natural Resources Office Bislig (DENR CENRO-Bislig) headed by CENR Officer Nathaniel Racho had successfully conducted a Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity on June 8, 2022, in Sitio Sote, Barangay Burboanan, Bislig City.


A report revealed that at least 2,500 seedlings of Indigenous tree species namely: Nato, White Lauan, Kamagong, Narra, Mayapis, Almon and Sagimsim, were planted in the area.

Some 226 participants composed of 110 females and 116 Males participated in the activity.

The participants of the  event were representatives from the different government agencies, and partner stakeholders, including the academe namely: My Plywood Sustainable Resource Corporation, Coronet Wood Industries Incorporated, Philippine Ports Authority, LGU-Bislig thru its City ENRO, MATRICOSO, Andres Soriano College of Bislig (ASCOB), and North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU)-Bislig Campus.
