4ID installs 2 new Battalion Commanders in Caraga Region
CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City -- The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division has installed two (2) new Battalion Commanders in Caraga Region in a series of Change of Command Ceremonies presided by Major General Wilbur C Mamawag, the 4ID Commander.
On Friday, June 17, 2022, Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Jerold H Jale, a member of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 2001, took over Command of the 30th Infantry (Fight On) Battalion, replacing LTC Ryan Charles G Callanta. Meanwhile, on Monday, June 21, 2022, LTC Sandy R. Majarocon, a member of PMA Class of 2000, took over 26th Infantry "Ever Onward" Battalion replacing LTC Reynald Romel A Goce. Both events took place at its Headquarters in Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte and Talacogon, Agusan del Sur respectively.
The relinquishment of LTC Callanta and LTC
Goce is part of the subject officers’ career advancement. Both have
successfully served as Battalion Commanders for more than two years. Their
leadership skills have been proven and tested so they are now ready to take on
positions of higher responsibility.
MGen Mamawag expressed his gratitude to
LTC Callanta and LTC Goce for their invaluable contributions for the success of
the government’s anti-insurgency campaign. “In behalf of Team Diamond, I cannot
thank you enough for your leadership, hard work and sacrifices,” MGen Mamawag
stated.
Likewise, MGen Mamawag congratulated the
newly installed Commanders and challenged them to do their best and surpass the
performance of their predecessors. “I look forward to hearing success stories
under your watch. As you begin your term, I want you to master your
Area of Operations, and be innovative and creative not only to sustain the
gains of the campaign but more importantly in order to contribute
to peace, stability and socio-economic development of CARAGA
Region,” added MGen Mamawag. (Maj Francisco Garello, Jr., DPAO chief, 4ID,
