LGU Bacuag launches CBDRP
SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte, Aug. 9 (PIA) -- The local government unit of Bacuag formally launched the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) on August 9, 2022 held at the Municipal Gym, Poblacion, Bacuag, this province.
LGU Bacuag Officials under the leadership of Mayor Felicisimo C. Cebedo worked relentlessly to help People Who Use Drugs (PWUDs) to recover and to be productive in life.
Around 70 PWUDs from different barangays of the municipality participated the said activity.
Surigao del Norte Police Office Director Police Colonel Renato C. Mercad, in his message wholeheartedly pledged the untiring support and cooperation of the police force particularly the Bacuag Municipal Police Station in all plans, programs and activities of the LGU and was grateful to the LGU's constant support to the PNP.
"The road to recovery may not be always easy, for those affected with drug use but we are here your PNP always ready to help and assist you. It is never too late to change." PCol Mercado said.
The lauching was highlighted with the covenant signing and pledged of support among all government agencies, non-goverment organizations, religious sector and academe as an integral part in the implementation of the program.
Attended the activity were 2nd District Misamis Occidental Board Member Eduardo Cebedo, DOH TRC Representative Juvyl Mabaunag, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency personnel led by Paul Estalani, Dr. Elena M. Navallo, District Supervisor, Pastor Bernard L Yap, Sheila Mae D. Banzon, CBDRP Consultant, all SB members headed by Vice Mayor Sheila Mae O. Cebedo, Heads of Office, Welivie C.
