16 members of CTG surrender to authorities; 6 firearms and 3 explosives seize in SurSur
TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- With the relentless effort of the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (SDSPPO) operatives during the conduct of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) prompted the members of the Communist Terrorist Group to voluntarily surrender to the government on August 30.
SDS-PPO Provincial Director Police Colonel Dennis A. Siruno disclosed that among the 16 CTG members who returned to the fold of the law, three (3) of which were listed as periodic status reports, and 13 were considered as non-periodic status reports.SDS-PPO chief lauded the operatives for their accomplishments and urged them to intensify the campaign to fight terrorism.
“I laud the effort of the operatives on these significant accomplishments and i encouarge the CTG members who decided to go back to the fold of the law to be part of the real change. In addition, we will continue to intensify our campaign to fight terrorism in the province,” PCOL Siruno said.
Meanwhile, the six (6) small firearms, and three (3) explosive device were seized from the members of the CTG who surrenderd at the different police stations, including the provincial mobile force company during the implementation of SACLEO, was also confirmed by the official.
