AgSur Reserve Force
intensifies linkage with LGUs, partners
AGUSAN DEL SUR -- Administrator of the Citizen Army Soldiers in the Province of Agusan del Sur continues the conduct of courtesy visits to the different local government units and partner stakeholders.
Just recently, the Citizen
Army Soldiers paid a courtesy visit to Lieutenant Colonel Michel G. Mortejo,
Commanding Officer, 65 (Stalwart) Infantry Battalion, including Thelma G.
Lamanilao, Municipal Mayor of Sibagat, and Efren B. Martel, School Principal of
Salvacion National High School.
The purpose of the
coordination was to involve the Officers from line units within the area of
operation to act as Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) commandant in
Higher Education Institutions (HEI's) and to strengthen the manning capability
of Officers who will handle and supervise ROTC units.
Meanwhile, Lamanilao
recognized the importance of reservists in times of emergency, implying that
they will encourage their constituents to join the reserve force.
Lieutenant Colonel (LTC)
Teodoro N. Plaza, Executive Officer, 1502 Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion
(RRIBn), and a former school principal encouraged Martel to apply for commission
in the reserve force considering that he is qualified.
LTC Roy B. Curilan, Director of the 1502 Community Defense Center, together with Captain Henry O. Tiu, Company Commander of Alpha Coy, covering Sibagat, Esperanza, and Bayugan City, and Technical Sergent Rebecca Remie F. Rellira, F/Sgt, Alpha Coy, took active part in the recent activity.
