DSWD, LGU Tagbina ground break a 1.3m barangay project
TAGBINA, Surigao del Sur -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development
(DSWD) Caraga Region, with the exceptional support of the Local Government Unit
of Tagbina successfully conducted the groundbreaking ceremony of the Upgrading
of Barangay Hall for a Temporary Isolation Facility worth P1,370,842.00 on
March 1, 2023.
KALAHI-CIDSS or the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and
Integrated Delivery of Social Services is one of the poverty alleviation
programs of the government implemented by the DSWD.
In a ceremonial activity, the barangay council members expressed their
gratitude for choosing their barangay as the recipient of the project. “Nalipay
gyud ko nga niabot ang KALAHI kay natuman na ang usa among mga pangandoy dire
sa Barangay Tagongon (I'm really happy that KALAHI came because one of our
dreams is now a reality in Barangay Tagongon)”, Punong Barangay Roclie
Monato said.
On the other hand, the Local Chief Executive of Tagbina, Glaiza Jane Polizon
Lanete commended the community volunteers, barangay council, and constituents of
Barangay Tagongon for the untiring support and effort extended to the KALAHI
family, as they work hand-in-hand to comply with the requirements of the
sub-project.
“Kamo ang among kusog ug inspirasyon para magpadayon kami sa paghatag ug tama
ug dekalidad na serbisyo publiko, (You are our strength and inspiration, as we
continue to provide right and quality public service),” the LCE said.
The said project has a physical target of 128 square meters, consisting of two
(2) unit comfort rooms with a septic tank, two (2) rooms partitioned into six
(6) units of folding beds with complete amenities and medical equipment.
Present during the ceremony were Sangguniang Bayan members namely, Vanessa
Polizon, Chadelle Oraiz, John Flor Ramas, Dayday Estavillo, Gigi Polizon-Kubota
together with the members of the barangay council, Barangay Development
Council-Technical Working Group (BDC-TWG) chairperson, Municipal Coordinating
