Tagbina Government on Wheels kicks off to BLGUs 

TAGBINA, Surigao del Sur -- The local government unit of Tagbina, Surigao del Sur headed by Mayor Glaiza Jane Polizon-Lanete, spearheaded the LGU-Caravan dubbed  "Galay Cares: Government on Wheels" from  April 18 to May 26, 2023.

The said activity kicked off in Barangay Villaverde,  then followed  by barangays Kahayagan and Tagongon on April 18 to 20. and will continue to cover all the 25  barangays of the town.

The program is a pioneer project of the LGU anchored on a  compassionate system wherein public services should reach the less fortunate residents of the town, especially those residing in the outskirts and marginalized communities. 

Various government offices participated in the activity rendering their free services such as,  rabies vaccination for dogs and cats, circumcision for dogs and pigs with vitamins supplementation, massive insurance enrollment and application, Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) enrollment, vegetable seeds distribution, appraisal and assessment of the land and building such as agriculture, residential, and commercial, handog - titulo, consultation on problems related to ownership and transfer of title, agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) updates or inventory, land amortization or tax collections, CLOA distribution, and consultation, Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project, COVID vaccination, PhilHealth enrollment and release of ceritifcation, consultation and treatment, operation tuli, operation timbang, and medical check-up/free medicine.

Moreover, the said activity intensified  the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) advocacy, conduct of job fair and information drive on zoning, and locational clearance information, distribution of unclaimed business permits, business plates and others. Also available were the preparation of documents for the provision of financial assistance through the Assistance to Individuals on Crisis Situation (AICS) program and the distribution of information, education and communication materials on the expanded Solo Parent Act.
