Authorities arrest top 4 drug personality in Caraga
CAGWAIT, Surigao del Sur -- A joint team led by Philippine Drug Enforcement
Agency - Surigao del Sur Provincial Office headed by Rodelio M. Daguman, Jr.,
in collaboration with the team from the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial
Office, Provincial Special Operation Group (PSOG), and Cagwait Municipal Police
Station (MPS), successfully arrested the Top 4 in the regional priority drug
personality, earlier this month in Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.
The suspect was identified as Nickel Sayson Dano, 43 years old, and a resident
of Purok Riverside, Barangay Tubo-tubo, Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.
The suspect was caught in flagrante delicto while peddling methamphetamine hydrochloride, an illegal drug locally known as shabu to an undercover anti-drug operative at, Barangay Tubo-tubo in Cagwait town.
The anti-drug operatives seized around five (5) grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of P30,000 and a cellular phone used in his illegal drug transactions.
The buy-bust money was also recovered in his possession.
A criminal case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article
II of RA 9165 also known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” as
amended by RA 10640 was already filed before the Office of the Provincial
Prosecutor of Surigao del Sur. The suspect was temporarily detained at PDEA
Regional Office Caraga custodial facility for the necessary legal process.
