Newly elected ACE officers gain support from LCEs

BUTUAN CITY -- As the new set of officers of the Association of Caraga Executives (ACE) for the Calendar Year 2023 to 2025 took their oath on June 2 held in this city, the local chief executives in the region affirmed their support and assured to assist the officers in realizing the plans and projects of the association, especially in the conduct of various humanitarian activities.
As the guest of honor, Butuan City Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada stressed that the Caraga executives should be able to perform their functions better, and continue to provide quality services to the people.
The mayor also cited the ongoing projects in the city such as the logistical highway and flood control structure, and soon the international airport, among others.
"Let's act as one and bind together, pool our ideas and come up with better programs and initiatives for our city and our region in general. It's also high time for leaders to level up and do more actions for development," he said.
On behalf of 1st District Agusan del Norte Representative Jose Aquino II, Butuan City Councilor Cherry Mae Busa, delivered his speech during the event.
She emphasized that "no agency is an island and each performs unique roles."
"We produce better results when we work together as one. We continue to inspire and bring valuable change to the lives of the Caraganons," she relayed.
Also, Atty. Francisco G. Pobe, regional election director of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Caraga and newly elected president of the Association of Caraga Executives (ACE), highlighted that they will be engaging in various activities for CY 2023 to 2025, which include the following: executive learning sessions; community outreach program for the abandoned children, senior citizens and other vulnerable sectors; tree planting and bloodletting activities; and fund raising activities, among others.
Deputy Director-General for Unified Messaging in Mindanao Abner Caga, former regional director of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga, who also served as the public information officer (PIO) of the ACE, stressed the need for continuous collaborations among various sectors and create more inclusive developments for the Caraganons.
"Let's continue to be proactive and fulfill our vision and mission, and continue to serve the best interest of the people," DDG Caga said.
Meanwhile, Cong. Dale B. Corvera, 2nd district representative of Agusan del Norte, likewise acknowledged the advocacy efforts of the ACE officers and members. He further expressed his support to the ACE undertakings that are necessary and appropriate to efficient and effective governance.
The newly elected officers of the Association of Caraga Executives (ACE) for Calendar Year 2023 to 2025 are as follows:
• President: Atty. Francisco Pobe, regional election director of COMELEC Caraga
• Vice President: Mr. Earl Dela Victoria, director IV of Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) Caraga
• Secretary: Ms. Venus Garcia, regional director of PIA Caraga
• Treasurer: Atty. Joffrey Suyao, regional director of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga
• Auditor: Engr. Noel Ajoc, regional director of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Caraga
• PIO: Mr. Abner Caga, PIA deputy director-general for Unified Messaging in Mindanao
Board Members:
• Engr. Pol Delos Santos, regional director of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Caraga
• Dr. Rolyn Daguil, campus president of Caraga State University (CSU).
For the new set of officers, this is an opportunity to reach out to more Caraganons and extend a helping hand in creating programs and services towards attaining sustainable peace and development in the region.
