Caraga gears up for Nat'l Disaster Resilience Month

BUTUAN CITY – The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) chaired by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga geared up its preparations for the activities in observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) on July 2023 in Caraga Region.

Together with the member agencies of the Regional Disaster Response Committee (RDRC), the said celebration will kick-off on July 1 through the conduct of Run for Resilience which will start at 4:00 a.m. from the Butuan City Sports Complex and will finish at the Agusan del Norte Provincial Covered Court in Butuan City. 

This will be followed by a Thanksgiving Mass and Opening Program at the Philippine National Police (PNP)-PRO 13 Grandstand, Camp Rafael C Rodriguez in Butuan City.

Also, on July 14, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga will be facilitating the conduct of its monthly Kapihan at SM City Butuan with guests from the Caraga RDRRMC. This will be livestreamed at the Philippine Information Agency Caraga Facebook page.

Executive Order No. 29 signed on June 28, 2017, mandated the observance of NDRM in July of every year, to strengthen and give importance  to the country's disaster resilience. (JPG/PIA-Caraga)
