PDRRMC mobilizes resilience activities in AgNor
BUTUAN CITY – In observance of the 2023 National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM), the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) of Agusan del Norte will conduct series of resilience activities this month of July to increase awareness on the importance of the celebration and engagement of its stakeholders.
The NDRM 2023 bares the theme, "BIDAng Pilipino: Building a Stronger Filipino Well-Being towards Disaster Resilience,” with the PDRRMC members ensuring their involvement in promoting disaster risk reduction awareness.

PDRRMO Chief Erma Suyo said, the council will be visiting selected LGUs in the province to participate in their NDRM activities.
“We will visit the LGUs and witness their DRRM best practices,” Suyo said.
Among the activities include the DRRM Tour: An information, education and communication (IEC) game to be facilitated by the provincial and city DRRMC members on July 7 in the Tourism Hall in Tubay of this province.
On the other hand, a DRRM Tour: Tree Planting and Higaonon Tribal House visitation at Sitio Balhatan, Barangay Camagong. Nasipit will be conducted on July 21. On July 26, the LGU of Santiago will hold a DRRM contest, wherein the council members will serve as judges and will also participate in a DRR-Tourism activity.
Further, the PDRRMC will hold the psychosocial and team building activity on July 28. As finale to the monthlong celebration will happen on July 31 at the Provincial covered court, Capitol Drive in Butuan City. (NCLM, PIA Agusan del Norte)
