Tagbina pays tribute to the youth
TAGBINA, Surigao del Sur -- The local government unit of Tagbina kicked off on August 10 the two-day activity that highlighted youth excellence and recognizing their exemplary contributions to the community.
Included in the event is the planting of 1000 trees around the river banks of Barangay Carpenito, Tagbina, Surigao del Sur, upholding this year's theme, "Green Skill for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World.”
A feeding program and fun game were also initiated in Sitio Anislagan, Barangay
Carpenito where approximately 50 preschoolers were the direct beneficiaries.
They also received school supplies to ensure that even the youngest learners
are equipped with the tools they need to explore, create, and develop essential
skills necessary for a good foundation for a successful educational journey.
Mayor Glaiza Jane Polizon-Lanete assured the public that these programs and
services intended for the youth will further strengthen and will continue to
exist in the future, in accordance with its slogan, "Kay sa programa ni
Mayor Galay, Kabatan-unang Tagbinanhon ang Unahon!"
Sangguniang Bayan member Vanessa Polizon also expressed her support as she
attended the said activity. Meanwhile, the Local Youth Development Office
facilitated the said activity in collaboration with the SK Federation led by
Wilmar T. Noquil, and the Kabataan Kontra Droga. The efforts of the Municipal
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMC) and Municipal Social
Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Barangay Carpenito officials, and all
who contributed to the success of the activity were also acknowledged by
