AgSur police conducts 41 anti-criminality operations

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO), headed by Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, conducted a total of 41 operations against criminality and insurgency, during its implementation of the 41st week-long anti-criminality law enforcement operation (ACLEO) on October 16 to 22, 2023. 

The joint efforts of the 14 police stations, two provincial mobile force companies (PMFCs) and Agusan del Sur provincial intelligence unit (ADS PIU) yielded to the apprehension of three drug personalities through a buy-bust operation; one successful operation for illegal gambling; 17 surrendered firearms; four most wanted persons; four other wanted persons were put behind bars; and four successful operations in service of warrant of arrest. Further, there were 10 successful operations in illegal logging.

All arrested persons have been placed under police custody while charges against them are being prepared for filing in court.

“I highly commend all the PNP personnel involved in these notable accomplishments. This only showed that the continuous active support of the community to the local authorities would yield fruitful results. Let us continue to perform our mandated task and maintain the peace and order within the province. Keep up the good work!,” PCol. Canlapan said.
