Port of Surigao strengthens employee engagement through children's party

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte -- In a heartwarming celebration that brought smiles to the faces of young ones, the Port of Surigao recently played host to a "No Tricks, Just Treats" halloween party – an event organized by the dedicated staff of the Port Management Office (PMO) of Surigao and generously funded by voluntary contributions from PMO employees.

The "No Tricks, Just Treats" halloween party was a 'spooktacular' gathering that provided an afternoon of family-friendly fun, ensuring that children could revel in a safe and memorable halloween celebration.

The event was participated by the children and dependents of both the PMO’s permanent and contractual personnel, who came dressed in a colorful array of halloween costumes, ranging from witches and superheroes to adorable vampires.

The PMO's administrative building was transformed into a lively showcase of creativity with these imaginative outfits. The atmosphere was not just visually enchanting; all division offices were adorned with halloween-themed decorations, enhancing the festive spirit.

However, safety remained a paramount concern throughout the event, giving parents and guardians peace of mind. The "No Tricks, Just Treats" halloween party reflected the increasing popularity of halloween in the country, and the growing demand for child-friendly celebrations.

It was a perfect embodiment of employee engagement by allowing employees spend quality time with their children at the workplace. (PPA-PMO Surigao/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
