MinDA survey reveals Agusan Sur as 'safest place' in Caraga

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- For the second time around, the land of golden opportunities was hailed as the 'safest place' in Caraga for the 3rd quarter of calendar year 2023 through a comprehensive survey via systematic sampling method conducted by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) chaired by Sec. Maria Belen S. Acosta.

The survey result was presented by Dr. Adrian Tamayo, on January 11, 2024, at the HPRO13 conference room, Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Libertad, Butuan City.

Tamayo relayed that Agusan del Sur took pride in posting the highest ratings on respect [94 percent], trust [94 percent], security [94 percent], and satisfaction on public safety [95 percent], which are solid objective indicators that the residents of the aforesaid province are very satisfied on the public safety services of the local authorities.

Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, provincial director of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO), thanked the support and cooperation of the locals in maintaining the peace and order in the province.

"I am delighted to extend my sincere congratulations to all AgSurnon cops on the remarkable achievement in ascertaining the community's perception of safety and security, respect, and trust in the Philippine National Police. Your dedication to understanding and enhancing the relationship between law enforcement and the community is truly commendable," said Canlapan.

“Rest assured that your ADS cops will continue performing our noblest duty to cater excellent public safety services that the AgSurnons deserve to have. Further, this notable accomplishment will serve as our inspiration and fuel to deny the menace of the society from striking fear in the hearts of the people whom we have sworn to protect,” he added.

This is in line with the learning and growth perspective of PNP P.A.T.R.O.L Plan 2030, under the objective of developing a competent, well-motivated and value-oriented police personnel and organization in relation to the transformation program of the organization. (ADSPPO/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
