PNP Caraga's drug sting busted 4 drug dealers, P51K worth of shabu
BUTUAN CITY – The Philippine National Police (PNP) Caraga’s intensified anti-narcotics campaign resulted in the confiscation of P51,000 worth of illegal drugs from four apprehended suspects during buy-bust operations in the region on January 6-7, 2024.
A drug surrenderee in 2016 identified as alias Eljomar was apprehended on January 7 by operatives of Bislig City Police Station and PDEA Surigao del Sur Provincial Office in Brgy. Tabon, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur where the suspect yielded 0.7 grams of shabu worth P4,760.
Meanwhile, alias Jonathan was arrested in Brgy. Taft, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte after he yielded 3.5 grams of shabu worth P23,800; alias Jerry also fell in Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City for possession of 3 grams of shabu valued at P20,400; and alias Richard was nabbed in Brgy. Poblacion, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur when he yielded 0.3 grams of shabu worth P2,040. They were listed as street level individuals and were apprehended on January 6.
Violation for Republic Act No. 9165 “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” will be filed against the apprehended individuals.
“PNP Caraga is stepping up its anti-illegal drug operations, with a particular emphasis on eradicating the sources and dealers of illegal drugs.
