Rice laboratory, pest control facility now up in Tandag City
TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- The employees of the National Food Authority
(NFA) - Surigao Branch, witnessed the ceremonial turnover and inauguration of
its new building at Barangay Mabua, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur on
January 15.
The new facility shall serve as a rice laboratory and pest control office of
the Quality Assurance Department and warehouse supervisor.
NFA Caraga Regional Manager May Sara A. Sabarre accompanied by Engineer III
Robert Bacanggoy attended the event, including Engr. John Mark Velasco of NGP
Construction and Amabelle T. Corvera from the Commission on Audit.
The significant event was highlighted with a ribbon- cutting, then followed by
a brief inspection of the building's interior and exterior sections.
Sabarre, in her message, congratulated the branch office and OIC- manager
Dennis Hibaya's leadership for having finally made the realization of this
project. She was hopeful that the new infrastructure can help realize the goals
and objectives of the agency and this served as a start of something good.
The personnel, on the other hand, were full of enthusiasm to transfer to their
new workstations. The building may be new, but their dedication and commitment
