It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Surigao Sur receives P89.5M worth of agri-machinery

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur (PIA) -- A total of 98 various production and postharvest technologies and equipment were received by the provincial government of Surigao del Sur (SDS) in provincial turnover and agri-machinery distribution spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) held at SDS Sports Complex in Tandag City.

The program implementation is under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program worth P 89.5 million.

Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) regional focal person  Jingle Paloma revealed the agricultural machinery received by the province:

* Four-wheel tractor - 16 units

* Floating tlller - 55 units

* Riding type transplanter - 2 units

* Rice combine harvester - 15 units

* Recirculating dryer - 4 units

* Mobile rice mill - 1 unit

* Single pass rice mill - 5 units

Paloma added that the various production and postharvest technologies and equipment will be distributed to some 50 qualified Surigao del Sur project beneficiaries.
