By Nora Lanuza Molde

BUTUAN CITY (PIA) – Flood victims in the different  barangays of Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte recently received rice assistance from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga.

The OCD Caraga provided 500 sacks of red rice, each containing 50 kilos, to the affected families.

Diane Lim, operations officer of OCD Caraga, who led the distribution shared that “this served as additional assistance to the town as OCD was also able to deliver non-food items such as 500 hygiene kits, 300 blankets, tarp rolls, 1,000 bottles of 6-liter water, and 172 family packs to aid the community in their recovery and rehabilitation  brought by the trough of the low pressure area.”
