we did not expect the attention given to us].

[To Vice
President Sara Duterte, thank you so much for the assistance under your
livelihood program, “Magnegosyo Ta Day.” For our association, this will help
our members. We will try to use and make the money grow to help us in our
daily livelihood and solve the challenges faced by small fisherfolk like us.)
Both officers hope that the MTD program will continue to help those organizations that are most in need of survival.
OVP-Surigao
del Sur satellite office chief Rolmar Basalan led the turnover of the
livelihood assistance grant to BAHAFFA.
“The
Magnegosyo Ta Day” is designed to assist sectors and organizations that belong
to the bottom part of society so they can begin with their livelihood projects.
This will empower the members and enable the organizations and
associations to become financially independent in the future,” Basalan shared.
“This
program will definitely stimulate economic activity, generate employment, and
spur economic growth,” he said.
“To all
of you, this is not much; we are hoping that this will help your organization
financially so that it can grow and become self-reliant in the near future,”
the chief added.
On top of the livelihood assistance, the OVP satellite office in Tandag City also offers medical and burial assistance to marginalized communities. (NGPB, PIA-Surigao del Sur)
