BUTUAN CITY – Aimed at enhancing the skills and develop the potentials of the local government research information and publication division (RIPD) in the province of Agusan del Norte, RIPD personnel participated in a two-day seminar and workshop on Photojournalism and Infographic Design Making, here.
Resource persons from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga capacitated and empowered the participants with technical skills and modern visual communication tools to better inform and engage their constituents with their traditional and digital communication platforms.
Multimedia Specialist John Charles Malazarte of the PIA Caraga served as one of the key resource speakers. He provided the participants with an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of photojournalism and graphic design, equipping them with essential skills to enhance their visual communication capabilities.
Nora L. Molde, information center manager of PIA Agusan del Norte shared the promotion strategies for social media platforms. Her session captivated the participants, offering them practical approaches to amplify their messages and engage their audience more effectively.
In the workshop's finale, Renelle L. Escuadro, assistant region head, imparted her knowledge on the art of captioning. Her insights were invaluable, providing the participants with the skills needed to craft compelling narratives that complement their visual content.
The audience gained crucial insights and skills in leveraging photojournalism and graphic design for impactful messaging. Throughout the workshop, they actively participated in the hands-on sessions and presented their outputs for critiquing by the resource speakers. This constructive feedback allowed them to refine their work and apply the techniques learned effectively.
The activity did not only enhance the participants' technical skills but also empowered them to communicate more effectively with their constituents through visually compelling and well-crafted content. This initiative underscored the provincial government's commitment to fostering professional development and improving the dissemination of information within Agusan del Norte.
Local Legislative Staff Officer IV Jay Vincent V. Demain expressed gratitude to PIA Caraga and signified for a more collaborative partnership in the future.
