DICT-13 orients gov’t agencies, LGUs on eGovPH App

Butuan City – In a significant stride towards digital transformation, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga conducted an orientation session on the eGovPH App for selected national government agencies (NGAs) and local government units (LGUs) in Butuan City and Agusan del Norte on June 19 at the Watergate Pavilion, Butuan City.

The eGovPH App, a groundbreaking initiative by the DICT, aims to unify all government services into a single, user-friendly platform. This app is designed to streamline government procedures, enhance transparency, reduce corruption, and promote ease of doing business across the Philippines.

During the orientation, representatives from various NGAs and LGUs were introduced to the app's features and functionalities. The session highlighted how the eGovPH App can facilitate more efficient transactions between the government and citizens, ultimately improving public service delivery.

Key speakers at the event included DICT officials, who provided insights into the app's development and its role in the broader context of the government's digitalization efforts. They emphasized the importance of adopting such technologies to foster a more transparent and responsive government.

Participants were given hands-on demonstrations of the app, showcasing its capabilities in simplifying processes such as applying for permits, accessing government services, and making payments. The interactive session allowed attendees to ask questions and provide feedback, ensuring that the app meets the needs of both government employees and the public.

The orientation in Butuan City formed part of the  nationwide initiatives in promoting the eGovPH App. By engaging with local government units and national agencies, the DICT hopes to accelerate the adoption of digital tools and create a more connected and efficient government infrastructure.

The event concluded with a commitment from the participating agencies and LGUs to integrate the eGovPH App into their daily operations, marking a significant step towards a more digital and transparent government in the region. (DICT-Caraga/PIA-Caraga)
