The 544th Engineer (Pioneers) Construction Battalion is the implementing unit of the FR housing project in collaboration with the 29th Infantry (Matatag) Battalion to whom Vibas voluntarily surrendered and later facilitated his endorsement to avail the housing program as part of government’s reintegration efforts.
Vibas expressed gratitude to the provincial government of Agusan del Norte and to the governor for giving them a new house, and to the 544ECB and 29IB for their unwavering support.
“Our hearts are full of happiness and appreciation to everyone for giving my family an opportunity to rebuild our lives,” said Vibas.
Gov. Amante commended the collaboration between the AFP and local authorities as crucial for the project's success and on regional peace and development to ensure sustainability of the government’s Enhanced Local Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
She also emphasized the importance of such projects in fostering peace and development in the province stating, “This housing project is not just a shelter, but a new beginning for the Vibas family. It represents our collective efforts towards peace, unity, and progress in the province.”
The housing project, as a symbol of hope and new beginning, is part of the government’s broader initiative to support the FRs and their families transition to a peaceful and productive (544thECB, PA/PIA-Agusan del Norte)
