Cyber safe spaces awareness seminar empowers vulnerable groups in Agusan Norte
BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte, recently conducted a Cyber Safe Spaces Awareness Seminar at the Peace Center-Halfway House in Bancasi, this city to educate the vulnerable population, particularly children in conflict with the law (CICL) and rebel returnees.
The symposium focused on equipping attendees with essential knowledge about cybersecurity and safe online practices. Participants learned about the risks associated with internet use and strategies to protect themselves from online threats.
Through interactive sessions and practical tips, the importance of responsible internet use was emphasized. It also highlighted the role of digital literacy in empowering individuals to navigate the online world safely.
The event underscored DICT Caraga's commitment to promoting cyber safety among vulnerable groups, fostering a safer digital environment for all members of society.
