Nasipit town to partner with Therma Marine, Inc. for sustainable housing
BUTUAN CITY -- In a collaborative effort to uplift marginalized communities, Aboitiz Power subsidiary Therma Marine, Inc. (TMI), together with the local government of Agusan del Norte headed by Gov. Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, discussed the plans of a partnership to provide target communities with access to livable housing on August 8 at Santa Ana, Barangay Hall, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.
The project reflected TMI’s commitment to advancing business and communities through government partnerships and to contribute to the holistic development of Nasipit.
The proposed project is part of TMI’s community development initiatives that aim to target the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 (UN SDG 11) or Sustainable Cities and Communities, as part of their fulfillment of other corporate social responsibility projects.
Each of the newly constructed housing units will be fully equipped with essential amenities with a resilient structure, designed to foster a better quality of life and ensure a sustainable transition to their new community.
The said negotiations were also attended by Vice Gov. Enrico R. Corvera, Nasipit Mayor Roscoe Democrito B. Plaza, Vice Mayor Leonardo C. Beniga together with the Sangguniang Bayan members, Punong Barangay Ruel Abas and his officials. NCIP Provincial Dir. Cierona M. Cutar was also in attendance.
