OCD-13 bags outstanding performance awards
BUTUAN CITY -- The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga bagged two awards for its exemplary performance in Procurement Management and Planning and Policy Development.
The Best in Procurement Management was awarded to OCD Caraga for its exemplary performance in adhering to the principles of transparency, accountability, efficiency, and economy in its procurement processes for calendar year (CY) 2022 to CY 2023.
The Best in Planning and Policy Development was also presented to the said OCD Regional Office for its effective implementation of the program on Gawad KALASAG (KAlamidad at Sakuna LAbanan, SAriling Galing ang Kaligtasan), Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Plan Review and Evaluation, compliance with the Integrated Personnel Performance Management System (IPPMS), Program Performance and Budget Execution Review (PPBER) guidelines, monthly accomplishment report (MAR) guidelines, and technical services provided to the regional DRRM council from CY 2022 to CY 2023.
The two prestigious awards were received by OCD Caraga Dir. Liza R. Mazo, CESO V, Procurement Unit Head Aizylyn Joloyohoy, and Policy Development and Planning Section Head. April Rose Anne Sanchez-Elmedulan.
Meanwhile, eight OCD Caraga personnel were recognized for their 10 years of untiring and dedicated public service. While Amado M. Posas and Marie Lynn B. Tadle were recognized for their twenty long years of dedicated service.
These accomplishments showed a manifestation of the regional office's strong adherence to excellence, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to serving the nation and protecting the people.
The said awarding was held during the Civil Defense 70th Founding Anniversary at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Commissioned Officers Clubhouse, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr., Civil Defense Administrator Usec Ariel F. Nepomuceno, OCD officials, and former Civil Defense administrators were present in the said event.
