DICT in Surigao Norte launches technology for education center
SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte (PIA) -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga, through its Surigao del Norte provincial office launched the Technology for Education - Digital Transformation Center (Tech4ED - DTC) at Caraga Regional Science High School (CRSHS) on August 13.
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Central Surigao, the initiative marked a significant step forward in providing digital education and resources to students and the local community.
The new Tech4ED-DTC at CRSHS is set to become a vital resource hub, offering digital tools and knowledge to drive educational and economic growth in the area.
Equipped with computers and tablets provided by the school, and complemented by free Wi-Fi access from DICT Caraga, the center created an ideal environment for learning, research, and developing digital literacy.
Through the establishment of the CRSHS Tech4ED-DTC, DICT Caraga and the Rotary Club of Central Surigao laid a strong foundation for digital empowerment in the region, ensuring that students and the community have the necessary resources and connectivity to thrive in the digital age.
