Surigao Sur electric coop receives equipment to improve service reliability
TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur (PIA) -- As support to the electric cooperative’s distribution system reliability efforts, the Therma South, Inc. (TSI), turned over the three units of S&C TripSaver II cutout-mounted recloser to Surigao del Sur Electric Cooperative II (SURSECO II), Inc. in Tandag City on July 25.
TSI is a part of the Aboitiz Group and is keen on supporting and furthering its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The donation is part of Project Pangga, an initiative of TSI to enhance the reliability of the distribution system of SURSECO II. The project also allows its clientele to qualify for incentives to fund specific projects.
The S&C TripSaver II cutout-mounted recloser is designed to improve electrical system reliability and reduce outages.
The ceremonial turnover was attended by key representatives from both Aboitiz Power Corporation and SURSECO II, Inc., including William PaΓ±a from Aboitiz Power Corporation and Dir. Bernardo C. Reyes, Dir. Earl Michael Jarry C. Ascarez, and SURSECO II, Inc. General Manager Roel E. Abad.
PaΓ±a emphasized that Aboitiz Group’s efforts on CSR created a significant community impact saying, “SURSECO II, Inc. is also a beneficiary of other Aboitiz Power Corporation initiatives such as the Light-a-Home Project and the Republic Act No. 11361 or the Chainsaw Project, facilitated through the Aboitiz Foundation.” (NGPB, PIA-Surigao del Sur with a report from SURSECO II)
