Tagbina officials complete training on financial literacy
TAGBINA, Surigao del Sur -- The local government officials of Tagbina in Surigao del Sur, including Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) treasurers, barangay bookkeepers, and Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) treasurers, completed the training on Financial Literacy facilitated by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Community Training and Employment Center (CTEC) on September 24.
With the proactive support of Mayor Glaiza Jane Polizon-Lanete, the event focused on equipping the participants with key financial management skills. This initiative formed part of the town’s broader efforts to enhance local governance and strengthen community development. The training emphasized practical approaches to financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, vital for the effective management of local funds.
This training is seen as an important step towards building more capable leaders and financially literate communities in Tagbina, contributing to long-term sustainable growth.
