Agus Serbisyo Caravan, Kumustahan sa Barangay benefit over 7K residents in Buenavista town

BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte -- Over 7,000 residents from Brgy. Sangay and Lower Olave of  Buenavista, Agusan del Norte gathered at Sangay Central Elementary School open grounds to avail of the free services brought to the community through the coordinated efforts of the provincial government of Agusan del Norte and the local government unit (LGU) of Buenavista dubbed "Agus Serbisyo Caravan" and "Kumustahan sa Barangay," respectively.

The crowd was full of excitement and glee, especially with the performance of the magician from the Philippine National Police (PNP), including the mascots from the PNP, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the famous Jollibee who gave leaflets on safety tips and candies to the kids.

Among the services delivered in the venue were free check-up, electrocardiogram, dental, random blood sugar, and free tuli led by Dr. Ramises S. Casals and Dr. Odelio Ferrer of the Provincial Health Office. The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) also provided free massage, manicure/pedicure, skills profiling, and scholarship recruitment. The Provincial Agriculture Office gave free seedlings of petchay, kalabasa, batong, and fertilizers, while the PNP offered free haircut.

Other services offered include free seminar from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and basic life support for young ADNERTS and students conducted by MDRRMO. The LGU of Buenavista also served free processing of birth, death, and marriage certificates, scholarship applications, voter registration and burial, and hospital assistance from MSWD and PSWD. 

Buenavista Mayor Joselito T. Roble encouraged the residents in Brgy. Sangay and Lower Olave to participate and avail of the government services that are brought closer to them.  He also thanked Gov. Angel Amante and Congressional Rep. Dale B. Corvera for their unwavering support in the municipality. "Daghan najud natabang sila Gov. ug Cong. sa ato, sukad pa last year." He then added that "Mas daghan pa ang umaabot na projects sa ato puhon labi na gi budgetan ta ni Cong. Corvera ug bilyon kapin para next year." 

Vice Governor Enrico R. Corvera delivered the message of Gov. Amante to the residents of the barangays. "Kalipay namo ni Gov. ang mo serbisyo sa katawhan, labi na sa inyoha na nanginahanglan kaayo sa among support."

SP Member Inez Amante added that "ang province na ang nagpaduol sa inyoha, busa i-avail gyud ninyo ang mga services sama sa medical check-ups ug uban pa." 

Among those who joined the ‘Kumustahan sa Barangay’ and ‘Agus Serbisyo Caravan’ were Vice Mayor Ramon AG Bungabong, Ronilyn N. Borja, Bernardo S. Galapin, Rianne A. Catabas, Eduardo P. Makiling, Maribel G. Balansag, Angelita D. CadeliΓ±a, Lucia E. Jundis, Ferdinand G. Calunsag,  Punong Barangay Jerry B. Escobilla of Lower Olave, the provincial directors of ADNPPO, PCOL April Mark C. Young, TESDA Provincial Dir. Rey M. Cueva, and 1st ADNPMFC PMAJ Emerson E. Alipit.
